With over 30 years of experience in nursing, she has dedicated her career to advancing health, wellness, and equity across diverse communities.

She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, blending clinical expertise with strategic leadership and advocacy. Throughout her career, Toya has served in administrative and leadership roles, where she has played a key role in setting standards, developing healthcare policies, and shaping organizational practices that support quality care and patient-centered outcomes.

A profound love for books and learning guides Toya’s creative work. She believes education is a powerful tool for empowerment, reflection, and growth. Through purposeful storytelling and thoughtfully designed educational resources, she creates books that nurture confidence, promote wellness, and inspire readers of all ages to learn, imagine, and thrive.

Dexter E. Smith

Dexter E. Smith is an educator at heart, driven by a lifelong commitment to teaching, learning, and student success. He holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and brings more than 25 years of experience as a dedicated classroom teacher, shaping young minds and fostering a love of learning.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dexter has served in numerous leadership roles, including Department Chair and Lead of the Social Studies Program, where he helped guide curriculum development and instructional excellence. His dedication to education extends beyond the classroom—he has also run for the State Board of Education, reflecting his commitment to educational advocacy and systemic improvement.

At the core of Dexter’s work is a passion for literacy as the foundation for lifelong success. He believes reading is more than a skill—it is a gateway to imagination, opportunity, and self-discovery.
